I went out last year and Rio Secco was pretty good for the money. My buddy and I weren't allowed to go across the range and hit on Natalie Gulbis, so that kind of sucked. Also, we were going to play The Wolf Course at the Paiute Resort, but it actually rained all day they day we were going to play. Pretty much everyone we talked to said it was a great course though. Even the employees of some of the other courses. They had a special for like $150 to play all day with a meal. Sucked we couldn't make that one.

My dad is taking me to vegas in January for my 21st birthday . . we are golfing everyday and you can guess what i will be doing at night!!

Wolf Creek for sure...Kind of spendy...Bring some extra balls...But well worth it..

Anyone play Rio Secco recently, if so what kind of shape was it in?
Played there several times, love the layout but not always in the best shape...

Dragon Ridge/Wolf Creek/Rio Secco/Legacy/Desert Rose/Primm Valley/Bears Best are all playing well right now. For the money, Desert Rose is a vg inexpensive course. Might not look like it, but it is. I would say "play Wildhorse", but, last time I was there, their greens were schitty, and their course overall wasn't in vg shape. Shame as it used to be a wonderful course.

LV National is a vg course as well, for around $50 bucks.

If you don't mind "Par 3's"...the Callaway Golf Center(on the strip, past Mandalay Bay), is vg to play as well.....fun course, and great design(not very expensive, last time I played it, I think it was $15 bucks for 18 holes-par 3 course guys, keep that in mind-great for your short game though).

If you can sneak onto Bali Hai, DO IT!!!(and let me/us know how it plays? lol)

What'd they charge you for a rd? I heard it's in the $100+ range, true? I *might* play it, if i can get on it for cheaper(and Im a freakin local).

Not sure, think it was around $150-$180 or so. Last year Bally's comp'd the round for me so it was all good.
I have played Bali Hai in the past too..really like the course.
Seeing as i probably wont get a rental car most likely will play Bali Hai as its right on the strip, unless Bally's has a shuttle to Rio Secco or other courses.

I can't remember what website we went through, but being from the midwest we just wanted someone else to do our legwork. We were on a budget though and it doesn't seem like it was much over $100, if it was at all. It was in late Jan that we went though, if that makes much of a difference, and it was at a twilight rate.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned greenskeeper.org. Golfer reviews, up to date rates and plenty of links to course websites. They cover Las Vegas- Mesquite, plus most of California and Phoenix area. Happy Holidays!

How'd you manage to do that? what'd they charge you? spill the beans man. Worth more than any $$$ you could win there, IMO.

Has anyone been to Bali Hai of late.. I'm heading there in 2wks? We are also playing Aviara in Carlsbad, how does it go?

I haven't been to Bali Hai since last June, but I did enjoy it. The only complain I hear about Bali Hai is the cost. If you can get past that, then I think you would really enjoy it!

Played Bali Hai about three weeks ago and it was in very good shape at the time. I would expect it to be in similar shape unless they have punched their greens.
