Just got these puppies for $260, free shipping - less than one new driver :D

 

I think it was a good pull. I play titleists (690 cb's with DG 300 stiff) right now but they are wearing out. Used the apex edge pro's w/ regular shafts before that, looking to get back to a lighter shaft and good Hogan heads.

 

Will be interesting to try out the graphite apex number 3 shafts but thinking about installing some standard steel apex shafts instead (probably number 4 flex), my guy at the truck has a bunch of old apex shafts.

Yeah, I'm interested to see if what's going to happen...a little nervous about rusting though that could be kind of fun too. Not sure if they are currently just raw or if they are sealed somehow, but I like how they look!

looks similar to the finish on my Titleist Tour Models. Not sealed in any way, but just a brush on bluing product like Birchwood Casey's PermaBlue. It's an easy finish to keep up. It just wipes on with a cotton swab. If you can keep an oil-quenched cloth, like the ones that come with oilcan and black finished Scottys, It's easy to keep rust from building and the finish looking great.

Looks like it's raw under black finish? I personally like the rust look on the carbon heads. Black looks nice and rusted will look nice too. Good buy. I'd be all over it if they were left handed.
