Pull cart recommendations please

I've decided to buy a pull cart since a lot of the gals I play with now walk and suffice it to say I could use the exercise.

Any recommendations at to which brand? Model?

About a week ago there was a good topic about push carts. Everyone really liked the sun mountain speed cart.

I haven't heard a bad thing about the SpeedCarts. It has an umbrella and cup holder too I believe. I think DiscountDansGolf has a pretty good deal on them.

Definitely go with the Sun Mountain speed cart. You can even order a little seat attachment for it now!

Based on this and an earlier thread, I bought a Sun Mountain speed cart and gave it its first run today at Wentworth. Simply, it is an excellent machine. Wentworth is reasonably hilly and it coped easily. I felt a lot fresher than usual after 18 with bag on my back and could easily have played on. I had been trying to choose between this and a powered trolly (Powakaddy etc) and decided on this as it is lighter, it won't run out of batteries and is much easier to adjust to your own walking speed (it always goes at the same pace - when I've used electric trolleys, they always seem to go too fast or too slow or too in the wrong direction...). It also takes a lot of pressure off my back, which is important as my back is somewhat fragile. Overall, massively recommended.

Oh yes, and it's much easier to take into the rough and trees than a powered trolley - although I hope that becomes less of an issue....

My pull cart is collecting dust ever since I got the Sun Mountain Speed cart. It puts you in a better walking position than a pull cart. You'll feel fresher after your round. Start a trend in your foursome. I guarantee once they feel how easy yours is to push, everyone in your group will get one. It's well-built too.

Ditto on the speed cart. Awesome cart.

FYI, I don't think that the speed cart bag is as well designed, though. If you don't use a putter cover, then the putter scratches the graphite shaft of your driver (with the speed cart bag installed on speed cart).

Also, the bottom of the putter well is long so you have to put your bag sidways into power driving carts...

Oh yeah, it seems that for some older people, the speed carts aren't THAT good - my mom says that it feels heavy, especially when she has to push it up small hills.

The previous thread that a few of the people on here referred to was actually one that I started about a week and a half ago (see here: http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=31019 )

After starting that thread and doing a lot of research I decided to get the Speed Cart. I received it a few days ago and it is absolutely amazing, it has so many features, it is so easy to push, and is pretty stylish. You will not be disappointed with it.

Also, to save anyone intersted in getting one a lot of time, the cheapest place I found it was through discountdansgolf.com It was about $30 cheaper than anywhere else and you receive the cart a few days after ordering. Just pm discountdansgolf or go to their site and email them for the golfwrx price. ;)

By the way I forgot to mention that the reason I did no purchase the Bag Boy's cart was because of the numerous stories I read stating how easily it tips over. The Speed Cart is designed in a way to prevent that. Feel free to pm me if you have questions given that I just researched all these carts.

Besides all the other features of the Sun Mountain, don't forget the colour options available. You can make a statement in your colour selection. the orange colour I ordered goes well the the rocket tour head covers in the classic orange. My mizuno bag as orange trim, however is dated and I may look at the callaway fusion bag for future purchases.

I have been looking at the Bag Boy 3 wheel push cart, sans umbrella holder. This model is about $99. I have a coupon from Golfsmith for 15% off after joining their Players Rewards thing. I haven't done any price research on the Sun Mtn speed one though, I'll have to check them out.
