Finally set for the year...

Recommended Posts

....or maybe not
Finally have a bag put together for the year(or maybe at least until the end of March)
This is my first attempt at a WITB listing, so hopefully its not srewed up too badly.

Driver: Adams 9015 with a Whiteboard 73x5ct. I really feel like I've given up 10-20 yds in distance, but I seem to
finding the fairway pretty consistantly so far. So I'll take the tradeoff.

Fairways: Adams Pro Gold 16 & 20 degree hybrids with Proto by You shafts. Occasionally I'll put in my Mizuno
MP-001 three wood.

Irons: Mizuno MP-32s. Love the looks and feel of these.

Wedges: Mizuno MP-T10 58 & 52*. These look great over the ball and feel terrific also.

Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport Mid Slant. Its been refinished in a black finish. Whomever did it left
a glob of the finish material along the top line which doesn't look very good, but I love the color
combination and the way the putter looks, so I can overlook that.

All toted along in an Ogio stand bag. I apologize for my inferior photgraphy skills.

I really like the feel of them so far, they feel just a touch heavier than others I've used and have a really solid feel. I'm not a high spin player by any means, but they do seem to do a decent job os stopping the ball. Because of the long winter I've only got two or three rounds in with them, but I'm liking them better each time out.

Nice Bag! I use to have MP-32's and loves 'em to pieces!

Had a question regarding your idea pro's. What distance gap are you getting between the 16* and 20*?
I currently have a 18* and am planning on getting a 20* to replace my Rapture hybrid (3 iron replacement), since I hit the idea pro's more consistently. I also have a 15.5 fwy wood so haven't really considered a 16* idea pro, but I may go that route too.

Thanks

They're relatively new also, so I'm not completely dialed in with them just yet and the few rounds I've used them, it seems like the wind is always howling making it kind of difficult to judge precisely.

But for the most part, I'm at about 245-250 for the 16* and 225-230 for the 20*(we're at about 4000 feet elevation, so numbers are a little inflated). I love the 16* off the tee when I'm not hitting driver, and I've been pretty pleased so far with being able to adjust the tracejtory up and down, my old TM rescue was just high and higher.

Thanks, I just liked the color combination on the Cameron, its definetly not a show piece putter, but its looks good to me. Its also got a lime green Ionic grip, that if my club guy can save, I'm going to have him take it off and cut the putter down to about 33 1/2".

I'm not sure on the Adams driver, I haven't checked the length yet, but I suspect its about 44 or 44 1/2" and I think my last driver was at 46". I'm actually hitting more fairways now, with enough length. But you know that male ego thing. But this driver sure feels good when I put a decent swing on it. Its hard to put "feel" into a word description, but now I know what people mean when they talk about the whiteboard being smooth.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
