Adams CB1 CB2 vs Ping & Callaway

I am not as familiar with Adams and had a quick questions for those who have hit the new CB1 and CB2's. I have been playing Ping i3's for a long time and was about to get some new irons. I was looking at the Ping i15's or Callaway Diablo Forged...both supposedly for low to mid-handicaps.

 

Question: Is the CB1 closer to those clubs or is the CB2?

 

Is the CB2 more similar to the Callaway x-22 or Ping g15's which are very forgiving and for high handicaps?

 

I guess what I am wondering is if the CB1's are for low to mid handicaps and the CB2's for high handicaps?

CB1- offset is the same in every club. CB2- progressive offset and more forgiving.

Thank you. I understand the CB2 is more forgiving than the CB1 but I am trying to figure out if the CB2 is extreme forgiveness like the Ping G15 & Callaway x-22 or if it is moderate forgivness like the Ping i15 & Callaway Diablo Forged. I am looking for a moderate forgiving iron with some offset but not the extreme off sets you see in most very forgiving irons. Hope that makes sense. Thanks again.

The CB2 is going to more like the i15 and Diablo Forged.

the CB2 is not a game improvement iron like g15, x-22. It is more of a players cavity and offers more forgiveness than the cb1. It seems to me like the cb2 would better suit what you're looking for

Little off you actual question I guess....

I play the A4 satins (forged not tour) and the CB2's still look similar. They are very nice at address, super easy to hit and very long compared to a few sets over the last couple years. They are by no means anything close to the look of say a Diable edge etc...

The new CB2's are great and with the black finish will definitely end up in my bag sometime next year I think as I just got my A4's. I played with a scratch golfer friend last week who plays off the rack A4's and he loves them, says they are never leaving his bag. He loves the look and performance of them!

CB2 looks more like MP58 at address other than at 4/5 iron which you can start seeing the cavity at address. It probably a tab more forgiving than 58.

CB1 is almost looks like a blade at address and a tab more forgiving than MP68.

It's a great set of iron, go give it a try but don't expect it to be as easy to hit than X22, Daiblo, MX300, G15 or i15.

If the CB2s play similar to the A4s they will be much easier to hit than the MX 300s. Same with the Diablo forged. They are much more forgiving. Less feedback but more forgiveness.

i play the A4 and love them. was wondering what the difference is between the A4 and the CB2 besides the black finish. is it worth the upgrade? im sure ill buy them anyway even though they are the same, but look different. ho ho ho
