Accra shafts are simply some of (if not the best) shafts you can buy. Incredible technology, incredible feel---just get fitted for one.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe the UST Tour Shops necessarily have Accra as well. It was my understanding that UST wanted to keep Accra fitting shops and UST Tour Shops separate. I may be wrong though. Check it out.

I'm sure once you find the right Accra shaft, you'll be thrilled with the results.

I use Randy Campbell. I know that he can order Accra shafts but doesn't not stock many, because the average golfer doesn't know about them. Always done great work for me and very honest.

Hey Putt4doh,

I'm thinking about trying the SC75 or SE80. Currently playing the PM702 Stiff (tipped 1/2"). Was thinking about tipping another 1/2" or reshafting with an "X", as putting too much draw on the ball. But was also thinking about going to a slightly heavier shaft.

My SS is 112-117 with a fast tempo. I fight a high ball, so want something that will control trajectory and spin. I'm thinking I'd go with the M5? Also, any thoughts between the SC or SE, and versus the PM702?

i'd go with the se-80...feels very smooth with the lowest torque i've seen in it's weight category and it doesn't feel boardy...

Hey Putt4doh,

I can't speak to the PM702, but I've played both the SC and SE.

Both shafts can help bring your ball flight down, but that'll be based on the fact they'll cut your spin. So that's sort of a wash. I had a tendency to hit the SC75 left more often than the SE80. I think that was due to the head lag (or percieved lag) coming through the ball. I felt like I was behind it so I really turned my hands over :idhitit:

Given the weight, stability, and stiffnees fo SE80, you will probably have a tough time hitting a big hook. Mine effectively took away the left side :friends:

The SC75 is silky smooth and a great shaft. The SE80 will feel firmer in your hands and not quite as smooth, but youre trading that the silky feel for just silky and the feeling of incredible control.

I would definitely go with the M5 in both shafts. If it were me, I would probably tip the SC75 a 1/2 or so. The SE80 in an M5 will be plenty stout with no tipping. Even though there's a 4" PTS on the SE80 it gets real stiff, real soon.

IMHO, there's really not a better shaft for stability, control, and distance than the SE80. But that's for me....I also have a quick tempo and a strong move at the ball with a SS between 115-120's. If I was more a 'swinger' I think the SC75 would be an absolute dream!

Hope that helps!
