TPC Sawgrass - play or don't play

TPC Sawgrass greens were punched a week ago. Should I play or play the valley course. Im already driving a few hours to even get there. Maybr other panhandle/n florida courses? Thanks

I have played the Stadium and I have to say it is one of the best golfing experiences I have ever had. The course was really demanding, but fair at the same time. Well worth a play in my mind.

Punched greens does add a twist to things. Is there a chance you could play again at a later time when they are not punched?? If not, then play for sure. It is worth the experience even with punched greens (hope they are at least healing). If you can, then play the Valley. It is supposed to be sweet as well.

Either way it is a win-win. You get to tee it up and both courses are good.

play it. I played both courses June 22 and 23 and the greens had been punched and sanded on Stadium Course just recently. they rolled well although i'm sure a little slower than normal.

A great experience. Wish I had played Stadium twice. Be sure to take the forecaddies advice. He knows the course!

I decided against playing Sawgrass. I played Camp Creek yesterday instead. It is a great course and if you are in the panhandle you should check it out. Course was in great shape. Greens were rolling around 12.5 and couldn't have been better. Service was first class as well. No houses and each hole seemed very private and secluded. It was $150 but I would play it again in a heartbeat. Its a Fazio design so you know what you're getting. The tee shots were fair but its a second shot course. The green complexes can lead to some interesting and very difficult shots if you miss on approach. Overall a great experience.
