Best gps-value?

I've searched and read all the threads on gps vs rangefinder, and I think I want a gps. However, I've noticed that many people say some have monthly/yearly subscriptions or require you to buy courses? What gps do you guys think is the best value, including the ability to add courses and their cost to add?

The only features that are absolutely necessary are the obvious front back middle, and the ability to measure your drives/tee shots. The top view of the hole is nice though!

I do not know what all it can do. However, the Bushnell Neo is at Sam's Club for $79.00.

That is actually a great deal since I comes with a prepaid one year membership. It allows you do download 100 courses to your computer. Just dl all the ones around you and the ones you might play and never renew.

It has front/center/back and custom points per hole. You can also measure your shot.

As others have said. Bushnell NEO. Easy to use and inexpensive.

I have a Sonocaddie v300. I chose a $30 one time fee for unlimited course downloads in the US. Courses outside the US would cost $5 per download.

The Sonocaddie measures distances to front/back/middle of the green and measures how far you hit shots. It has a nice color layout of the holes. It has a lot of other features that i never use. I like it.

I have a Sky Caddie SG4. Have had this one going on 4 years. It has been a good unit for me. Has been trouble free. I buy the plan to download any course in my State. That plan cost me $29 per year. I find where it helps me the most is less than 100 yards. I was always under estimating short distance.

I would recommend the Sonocaddie v300. I has a excellent dislay of the hole layouts. There is a onetime fee and most importantly it is accurate and does not loose signals.

I would say with the UPro GO selling for about $150 all over EBay it would be the best value.

Agree with the Upro Go. And you don't have to eBay it… RockBottomGolf is selling them for $149. But you better hurry as I don't know how many they have.

If they have any, the Golf Guru 002 (grayscale) or 003 (color) "refurbished" units (devices that were traded in as part of their upgrade program), feature for feature, are unbeatable for the price, in my opinion.

Wow - prices sure have dropped since I was shopping this spring. [color=#1C2837][size=2]RockBottomGolf has some great deals right now. For me, if you're looking for a "value", that would pretty much rule out any unit with an annual fee. That [size=3]$79 for Neo with membership is practically a steal, and I seem to recall they have really good course coverage. I got my UPro for $200 this spring, and that's not the hot bargain it once was. I would say this is a great time to buy...[/size][/size][/color]
