New Taylor Made ball and should I switch

Here is my question why would I pay a few dollars more for a ball that might be as good as the Pro V1? Anyone that has changed have you seen a difference in distance or spin?

Why would taylor made price a ball above the best ball on the market, you would think that if it is as good they would price it lower get people to try the ball and then raise the price. :yahoo:

 

I am just looking for some feedback and this is the best place to go.

I thought ProV1's were 44.99? The TM balls are 42.99. Either way, I do agree that charging 42.99 is not the right thing to do.

 

To answer your question of is it worth it? To me it was. I haven't been a big fan of the ProV1, and I love the TM Black. I think the comparisons between the ProV1 and the TM ball are streched a little. In playablility the balls are not quite one or the other. The reason I like the Black is because I get a higher trajectory and a lot more distance. They don't spin back on the greens, but they seem to land very softly and end up right around their pitch mark. I've personally been on the search for the right ball for over a year now. I've tried most of the ones out there, and overall the TM Black outperforms all of the others. If you want full reviews, check these links out:

If you hit the ball too high, i would suggest the Red. If you hit the ball too low, like me, then I would suggest the Black.

Nice ball. Solid, but I think the Pro Vs are longer than the TMs.

I think TM balls are worth the price. Every $40/doz ball is about the same - you just have to marry your wishes regarding spin, primarily, to the ball. HX Tours spin too much for my taste, like the Pro V1, etc.

have played both the Red and Black TM balls. I was not that impressed with the Red but played the Black this morning and it is a very good ball for me. I little softer feeling than the Red and a little higher ballflight which equated to more distance for me. It spins a little more than the Red but not too much. All in all a very good ball that didn't grow "hair" when I hit a full wedge. My SS is about 103-105ish if that helps anyone. :cheesy:

I thought the red spins more.

i cant putt with those balls for some reason. They feel like crap off my putter.
