Well me, the wife and the kid!!!

Good evening all ( 7pm in UK)

Will be visiting Florida for the 1st time Oct 13th for 2 weeks, doing all the usual Disney things, BUT just so happens I booked us in to Marriott World Centre (or something like that) and it has a golf course. Hoping to leave the girls around the pool a couple of times during my stay so was hoping to get a bit of info on the course.

Play off 8 so firstly is it a good test? Good condition? Expensive? Friendly? etc etc. Any other information would be appreciated also.

You're in luck. I've played Hawk's Landing a bunch of times and it's one of the better resort courses in the Orlando area. No, it isn't overly challenging, but it is almost always in immaculate condition. Cost: it's about average for a resort course in Orlando, the thing I like about it is you can literally step out of the lobby and onto the course, practically. Hi Mate. Havent been on the courses that you mention but if you can get out of the complex a bit i would recommend Southern dunes and orange county national. Some of the best i have played in that area

PS go to an outback steak house if like me you cant find a good steak in the uk anymore

Hey Guys thanks for the replies. I got to play it based on that review and try the local steak !!!!

One other thing as a single player will they try to pair me up with others ? Is that normal its just I hate to be a 'billy no mates'.

4 weeks and counting and really looking forward to meeting some American cousins (Well if they speak to me after we have regained the Ryder Cup (sorry couldnt resist)

I'll ignore the Ryder Cup remark -- since we're about to win it again anyway -- and wish you good luck -- also, he's right -- Orange County National ("OCN" to the locals) is a great spot -- no fancy resort amenities just all golf. Two exceptional courses and a great practice facility.

Oh yeah, I forgot -- just ask the guy when you make your tee time you want to be paired up -- they can usually find a way to do it. Or ask the starter.
