Bushnell Customer Service

So I have owned a Bushnell Tour V2 rangefinder for about 3 months now. I bought in the patriot pack, from the proshop at my club. Anyway, the clip on the bright orange case broke about a month ago and it is currently zip tied to by bag. Two days ago, I thought what the heck why not call them up and see if they have any of these laying around (figuring I would have to pay for it). The woman was very nice and had me hold for roughly 5 minutes after explaining what had happened to her. She came back and told me I have one right here in front of me and will send it out to you at no charge. She then proceed to email me the order number, as I told her I was in the car and could not write it down. She never once asked for a serial number, or proof that I had recently purchased the rangefinder.

 

Truly outstanding customer service, something that should not be overlooked when considering purchasing a Bushnell product versus a competitor.

I 100% agree. I made a rational complaint about something and although there was no company policy in place to deal with it, the supervisor understood my frustration and came to a mutually agreeable solution. I have no hesitation in recommending a company and service where you are truly made to feel valued and an individual.

There have been other Golfwrx threads regarding Bushnell customer service and products. The reviews are, at best, mixed.

I returned a Tour V2 rangefinder that suddenly failed after a year of virtually no use. I sent it in for repair. After 6-8 weeks I received a note that it could not be repaired but I could buy a new one for $299 or whatever it was. After pushing back and escalating my call to a supervisor, I was told I would receive a replacement at no cost. Obviously, I was quite satisfied.

Also, the clip on the Bushnell carrying case that attaches to the golf bag broke a year ago. As with you, I received a complementary replacement case after calling Bushnell. Unfortunately, the same clip on the replacement case broke a week ago. This time, despite my feeling that the clip is simply not very durable, the Bushnell customer service rep said (even after checking with a supervisor) that the company would charge me $18.95 for a replacement case. I'd be more understanding if the case/clip had been abused or mishandled; however, it was normal wear and tear and it should not be so fragile.

As I said, I have mixed feelings about Bushnell products and service, especially in comparison with the fabulous customer service I received from Callaway last week.
