Opinions of the Titleist 983K driver....

I'm looking to get a used driver and that is relatively inexpensive, but a good solid all around driver. Something that is forgiving and will allow for some mis-hits while not sacrificing distance. I've always liked the looks of the Titltiest drivers. Are these still good clubs???

Very good clubs, still considered by many to be one of Titleists best drivers.

Reasonable forgiveness and great distance, workable and very accurate. Nothing wrong with the 983K in my opinion, i still keep 2 of them just in case.

Great driver, long , great look and sound. just not as forgiving as newer clubs.

The 983K is the most proven driver ever created, and my backup behind the 905R. I love the club, and I believe that anyone who can get their hands on one should do so.

Still a great driver - as a previous post said, just not so forgiving as the current crop of 460 monsters. Took 'an old friend' out for a bit of fresh air recently - 983K, 9.5* with TT EI-70 S flex - still a great feel of the face when you really clock it. Goes as far as anything I have played in recent years. A modern classic!

i've hit alot of drivers and the 983k is still close to my heart. just a great feeling, sounding, and distance producing driver. Very easy to hit draws with it.

i've personally hit my longest drives ever with this club. another member of this site was with me one day on the course with a slight wind behind and saw as i poked the ball 350+ on 2 holes.

i'm actually on the prowl trying to find a brand new one on the bay.

I hate to add another "I agree with the previous post" reply, but....I agree with the previous post. I have had the K 10.5 with a Fujidura Tour Platform for a year now. I have tried each of the 905 series with different shaft combinations and I keep coming back to the K. For me, it is longer than the others. The R was deffinatly more forgiving, but I just like the feel of the K more. I think I have to really focus more on my swings to keep it in the fairway, and I like that. I also just love the sound and feel of a flush shot with this driver, compared to the others.
