Opinions on Sharpro grips

Has anyone used the Sharpro Velvet or Sharpro Color Cap grips? How do they compare in terms fo feel and durability to the Golf Pride Decade MultiCompound grip. I like the idea of the cord on top and no cord on the bottom. I currently use GP Tour Vel;vet grips. The Sharpro are like a third of the price for what looks like is a very similar grip. Any comments would be appreciated.

Bumping this topic to find out what others think.

 

On Ebay UK the Sharpro equivalent of Golf Prides Multi Compound Cord is £28 for 13, whereas Golf Prides are £72 for 13.

 

Quite a substantial difference. Must be someone that has used the Sharpros?

had them...didnt care for them...i cleared them out...the golfprides felt much better...

Yesterday I put half Golf Pride's and Half Sharpro's on my irons. I put them name down and they feel exactly the same to me. Both are soft and both are very tacky. For some reason though now I am hitting a draw. Not sure what that has to do with the grip. Maybe it's a bit lighter or something but it is fine with me. Perhaps my swing magically fixed itself overnight.

 

For the price I don't think you can beat them. They come in a few colors. I got the red's. I have 10 blue ones sitting here as well. Have to go buy another set of irons to do those.

Do the GP's play just as well name down? I have some that I will install soon and wondered what you thought as to how they were name down...

Yeah, they feel good name down. I don't really notice a difference. Except for that draw..don't know what's up with that.

A friend of mines picked up the Sharpro's from Ebay and asked me to install them for him. The first thing I noticed was the smell. They had a very strong rubber smell, almost like a new bicycle tire. The smell got on my hands too. I also noticed that they seemed harder and a tad heavier then regular GP chords. They're nothing that I'd add to my clubs but my friend who's got more frugal taste then me likes them.

Either Sharpro makes a lot of rips for a lot of people or a lot of grips come from the smae place.

 

I have an Accuflex grip, the two tone one that is half cord.

 

Another buddy has the same grip with Sharpro on it.

 

Yet another buddy has the same grip with Gauge Design on it.

 

Exact same grips. I'm the only one who didn't like mine, I found the corded part not corded enough.

 

The prices were noticeable different though.
