NV vs Diamana

is there a comparison?

I just wanted to know if the Diamana is that much better of a shaft thean the NV.....I'm saying with similar specs....and will this work...a 905r 10.5 with a 83g X diamana...has anyone played the 905r with a diamana 83g X, if so howd it go?

I can't speak to the 83, but I have a direct comparison between the NV65 and the Blueboard 63, and the specs are pretty similar (played both in an SQ Max). After playing the Diamana, I asked myself why I waited so long to take the plunge. The shaft feels smoother, and most importantly, plays much tighter. When I miss the fairway now, it's just in the rough, not the trees. With the NV65 I started playing ABS golf, Anything But Straight. Go after it, and quack it left. Lay off it and fan it right. Same person, I'm a 13 hcp, with the Diamana and it's a draw if I go after it and a fade if I lay off of it.

 

Just got a R5 TP with the 83 in it off fleabay and can't wait to try that one out. Sorry, no experience 905r.

Yeah...I had the same experience as the previous post. I played NV 65 and switched to Diamana Blue 63 and its a world of difference. The first thing of note is that the Diamana feels much more lively, despite giving boring ball flight and tight dispersion. The NV flies the ball lower, but while giving up lots of feel and accuracy. Having played the Diamana for a while, the NV seems boardish by comparison. Best way to explain the difference is that with the NV I can feel a distinct kick point whereas with the Diamana it feels as though the whole shaft bends evenly and smoothly. Its really confidence inspiring as I can go after the ball as hard as I want and not have to fear losing it.
