Ike Course at Pacific Palms

Conditions??

My cousin is coming into town from Hawaii and I am taking a day off to play with him. This is going to be our first time playing the Ike course at Industry Hills. It has always been on my list to play, but it is hard to get on and expensive. After a half an hour on hold, I am playing next Monday for the mega Monday deal $55 with cart. Has anyone played there recently? How are the condtions right now? I know it is going to be tough, but I just hope it's in great shape. Thank you.

it's one of my favorite courses! Cousin played there about 3 weeks ago. Said the greens were a bit dead in some places...but things were rolling smoothly. Fairways were perfect.

Thank you. Hopefully the weather cooperates. I am looking for some raingear right now. I have some on my Christmas list, that's not going to help me.

Just an update, I played yesterday and got in 7 holes before the rains came in, and it had rained for a few days prior so the course got soaked pretty quickly. We managed to get through 15 before they kicked us off the course, but it was a blast. They also gave us our money back which was very nice of them. We were the only ones out there that day. Oh yeah one twosome that played through in soaked jeans. Not sure how they got on in jeans. Anyway, the course appeared to be in good shape, all things considering, and I can see how it can be a beast if you are not getting out the box very well. The tee boxes, fairways and roughs were pretty long since they couldn't have mowed because of all the rain. However the greens were running pretty well till they got soaked.

I did not go for the green on #2 and decided to play it smart and ended up leaking my 5 iron in the trees. Go figure. Just thinking safe is not enough, you still have to execute the shot. Man I hate doing that.

I am defintely going to try and get back out there for another crack at the Monday Madness. I think this course would be pretty nice and fun. But I will have to wait till next year for another vacation day though.

awesome! I hate the second hole. The massive downslope is awkward and I have to hit something at least 235 from the back tee. Then that wedge shot to the green is an awkward yardage...ai!

Love the course though. How did you do on 9, that dinky little par 3? When the pin is in the back it kills me...literally postage stamp size!
I love the tee shot on 4...that really long par 4 that is also downhill...I aim at that massive dome waaaaaaay left and peel a fade off it. Fun! :partytime2:
