How to steady hands?????

Hey guys, i got a Leupold GX-4 for christmas yesterday, and I've found out it isn't locking on to the pins at my golf course cuz of my shaky hands..... Anybody got any drills or even a book on how to improve your hand steadiness so it would be as steady as a surgeon?????? i'm tired of getting 200 yards in the background instead of focusing on the 150 yard pin.....

Most people, for whatever reason, tend to hold their breath when they try to lock a target. Take deep breaths and that should help immensely. Also, if you're using a cart, use it as a rest for the laser. If you're walking, take a knee and use your bag.

Hold the gps in your right hand then stick your left are across your body at eye level and rest the GPS on it while you shoot the pin. It works and you don't have to take a knee

Holding your breath will cause it to shake more. Holding your breath works very well for exactly seven seconds. During this seven seconds your muscles are locked by a small oxygen supply. After these seven seconds they panic and start twitching. The best way, for me, is to take a deeeeeeep breath, exhale, then shoot.

Put it in scan mode. Use common sense. End.

In scan mode as you move back and forth you'll see the number jump from the background to the pin to the background. If you are about 150 or so and it is picking up trees at 200+, then jumps to 154, then back to 200+ you are at 154!

When I first got my Bushnell I found myself holding the button down longer that necessary to achieve yardage. I learned the unit will find yardage very quickly if aimed right. No need to put the death squeeze on the button or the unit--you'll learn to relax and finds ways to support your hands to avoid the shakes.

You actually want to use the 'pinhunter' feature which will isolate out the pin. Scan will give you a rapid series of measurement. Pinhunter will filter out the closest object which will be the pin.
