Need some help with RTJ Trail.

We are going on our annual trip in late March early april to Muscle shoals on the trail. That is considered a busy time and to play 36 they are charging almost $140 a day to get reservations. We can book 18 now for $69 and get a same day replay rate of $20 the day we go there in April. My question is does anyone know if its hard to schedule a replay of 18 in the afternoon if we have to wait till the day of to schedule it?

What day of the week are you talking about? Obviously a Saturday is going to be busier than a Tuesday.

If this is your big annual trip, you are gambling $50 whether or not you'll get to play in the afternoon. I would think it's reasonable to assume you could play in the afternoon at the replay rate eventually, but you might end up having to wait a while and then might not finish the round before dark. You need to decide if it's worth the risk.

Are we talking about one foursome? If so, I'd say it's do-able; if it's 2 or 3 groups, I'd say it's very unlikely.

It's two groups and it's two days out of thurs, fri, and Sat. The other day we are playing at Cypress lakes. I hate to take the chance, but there's a big difference between $140 and $89.

i'm all for value golf trips, but with two groups your taking a big risk going on friday or saturday without a pre-booked afternoon tee time... we played there in september a few years ago and it was pretty open after 4pm, but that was on a monday/tuesday.... great facility btw... a links and a wooded course- something for everyone

p.s. where you guys coming from anyway? we played ross creek landing in clifton, tn the day after the shoals, which was about 85 min north... great course for only about $40
