H-Town Wrx Outing?

Houston area Wrx'ers up for putting together an outing? Just a feeler to see how much interest there is out there.

Hey sw, I tried to put something together a few months ago but some personal stuff came up so it fell by the way side, but let me know i play out of willow creek and i had talked to them before about getting a deal so it should not be a problem, right now on saturday afternoons its pretty light traffic.

Willow Creek would be fantastic for me because I live in Spring. Do most of my practicing out at Windrose. I would be up for playing most anywhere in the Houston area..whatever works. It would just be cool to meet some of the Wrx'ers. Put faces to screen names...and 400yd drive hitters...lol. We will see what type of responses we get here. There should be plenty of Wrx'ers in this area!

I would be interested. I used to be a member at Willow Creek, but am now a member at Augusta Pines. I might could get a deal there. Of course, seeing Alton again would be OK with me. (That's a Willow Creek reference.) I'd rather play WC or AP than Windrose. Or even go to Woodforest or out to Black Horse. I guess we'll see how many others are interested and where they're located.

As you might have guessed, I live in Spring as well.

Wood forest is a great track, its been a couple of years since i played it, but it had awesome greens.

Already trying to work a game I see! Im just kidding. I really dont think it matters. I will bump this thread up maybe until this weekend and see if there are more takers. There has to be more Wrx'ers out there from this area. If no one else responds, maybe we can just get together with the few guys who are interested.

Im sure we can find something "relatively" convenient for all. It looks like we could put together a couple of foursomes with the responses we have so far. Any ideas on a date? If we can nail that down, then we can pick a course.

I am. Being an Augusta Pines member, I get both courses. Actually 3 courses, if you count the one in Oklahoma.

Really needs to be a weekend for me. I prefer after noon myself. April 16th and 17th are open for me. So is April 30th and May 1st.

I talked to the membership director at willow creek and he is willing to give us a deal, as it is a private club we dont have to worry about the course backing up they really spread their tee times out well, if we can get a head count and hammer out a date i can secure it

Yes, he is actually a good friend of mine, I had known him for some before i joined willow creek.

Yes. Mark is a very good guy. He was there when I joined. I was still a member when he left and then subsequently returned. I used to play in the Thursday night poker game all the time. I even played for a while after I left Willow Creek for Augusta Pines.
