Loooking for some clarification
I've read all the posts...but I'm afraid it's done more damage than good in my attempt to gather credible info on the Miz gear.

First off, does anyone know definitively that the 67's will replace the MP33's? If so, I'm stocking up on 33's while I can still get them...

Also,

Are the new wedges meant to compete with the Spin Mills/Y Cutters/T35's? You know, milled faces, fancy grooves....

The MP 33s will remain in the lineup.

Yes, to your question on the wedges.

The 33's are not in the new catalog and are not in the lineup for next year. They are alos limited in supply as I just ordered a set. The 30s stay in the classic line and the 37's move to the classic line. The R line of wedges is just a diff. grind on the sole. Nothing fancy about the grooves or face.

As far as the 33's are concerned...perhaps the most perfect iron ever made...I'm going to have to order up at least a set before they go away.

The wedges look great!! First time mizzy has ever offered square grooves in a wedge!

I have the new Mizuno Catalog, but no scanner. The new wedges will be offered in black-ni and chrome. The new head is much rounder looking at address. Not as much of a tear drop shape. Hope this helps.

I think you're lucky that you could order a set of MP33s. Just a couple of days ago, I had my local pro call the Mizuno customer division to custom order a set and found that they just ran out of the heads last month and MP33s are officially done for good. We even argued that their explanation was not consistent with what they say in their webpage (i.e., signature products), but they just said that they meant "until the heads last". They further explained that the new MP67s play very similar to 33s and suggested that I get a set of 67s instead. It's just I don't personally want any cut muscle and Run(ning)-birds (...both visually).

I was tallking with Miz customer service 3 weeks ago and they told me that they just run out of MP33 heads, so I echo that it will be very difficult to find a new set from them. On the other side, I do have an older set that I was trying to revamp to use as my backup, maybe it's a good time to put them on sale, who knows.
