Leupold Gx-4

I just got myself a leupold gx-4. The unit is very nice. Haven't got to use it on the course yet but was testing everything out just by shooting trees and stuff in the neighbourhood. I noticed that on the gx-4 with the club selector it doesn't show you as much information as what they show the gx-2 does. I have it set that an 8 iron at 135 yards but when i hit an object that is 134 yards away it says use a 9 iron. It chooses the club one lower but realistically you would hit an 8 iron. While on the gx-2 they show it as if that happens it would show 8 iron with the dash under it to show little less than a full 8 iron. Anyone else notice this on their gx-4?

I finally got to use the Gx-4 on the course. Very nice in terms of yardages. I never really looked at the club selector cause i know my yardages but having it input in there for the slope worked really nice. I was pin high on almost ever shot at the green. All i need to do now is go back to basics on my aiming cause i was terrible at that :P It was sometimes hard however in direct sunlight to see the red aimer a little bit but was still able to see and read it fine. The lens does seem a little darker rather than lighter but it does help stop the glares from the light when looking through it. Great product and if you have the money id recommend it if you are not worried about the slope. IF you have any questions you may ask me id be happy to try and answer it the best i can.

I just bought one off BST and I'm looking forward to using it. I have an older bushnell with the slope and was getting annoyed with the bulky size of it. I'm lookin forward to the slimmer and smaller Leupold gx-4. That is very odd about the club selector. I'll have to see if I have the same results as you. Due to the smaller size was it harder for you to stabilize and get a good reading on distances? I'm looking forward to using it on scan mode as well.

It wasn't too difficult to get the yardages and im pretty shaky when it comes to holding it steady. I couple of times i just shot the flag few times and i managed to get the right yardage from missing the flag from my shakyness but it did catch the flag pretty easily as long as it was in the big circle it seemed to catch the flag.
