that's crazy talk, my friend. my group has been out every weekend in January, sometimes both days. in fact, i dont think we've missed a weekend since April 2011. over 40 and sunny with little wind is practically tropical. just throw on some under armor and a sweater and you're set. and this is coming from a little b*tch who is always cold. two weekends ago it got over 50 at Marine Park and over the 60 the weekend before it. We were down to one layer and still sweating. just saying, i think you're missing out. :clapping:

i actually played in snow flurries this year with a temp of 34. As long as it's not windy you're fine. Especially if you walk.....it warms up the bones.

Stick me on the list too. I have a car and live in Woodhaven, Queens (right next to Forest Park Golf Course). I play every weekend (even now in this weather), both days, and now that I'm next to Forest Park will be playing evenings in the summer. 15 handicap.

exactly, you'd be crazy not to play with how mild it's been this winter. just been one long autumn. never seen anything like it.

You guys are really hardcore! I don't mind so much the cold, I just hate having to layer up so much...if it's too cold to be able to play in just a thermal compression mock, polo, and a sweater or light jacket, then I won't. If it's mid 40s, sunny and little or no wind, then I will play.

And yeah, I've played about 4-5 rounds already this year and it's been a really mild winter. But if my fingers get too cold to the point where I have a hard time gripping the club with a normal golf glove, I've reached my threshold, and that's usually 45-50 degrees.

Maybe somebody can create a Google groups or something similar for us NYC folks to try to arrange...Mark?

I've played Marine Park 4 times, low score of 81. The wind just friggin kills me. For my 81, I went double 15, double 16, bogey 17 and par 18 to limp into 18 (3 putted). Pissed me off like you don't know. Anyways, I'll play there every time I'm in town to visit my parents. Always looking for someone to play with.

Is it ever not windy at that place?
