So the inlaws my wife and myself just bought a beach house in ocmd. I am going down next weekend on Friday and would like to get a ruling in with my father in law. Can you guys recommend a course best worth it under $100.

Rum Pointe - a Pete Dye course is fairly tough
River Run - a Gary Player course is open and friendly on the 1st 9, tight and tree-lined on the back

Not sure about Glen Riddle (looks nice from Rt 50), Lighthouse Sound is good, but > $100

I also like Bear Trap Dunes in Ocean View, DE. If your house is up around Fenwick, this may be your closest course.

I am not worried about being the closest. Our place is in the 120's as far as the street. I was actually looking at rum pointe and river run. Ever have any problems getting on?

Rum Pointe is probably busier than River Run, but there should be open slots at both courses, especially late morning and later. This is not the busiest time of year for golf in OC.

River Run is a good track but my favorite is Eagles Landing.

It's been a couple years since I've golfed in OC, but I have golfed all of the courses everyone has mentioned. I remember Eagle's Landing being the best bargain down there, as far as really nice course for the money. I really liked Lighthouse Sound. It may be a little more than $100, but it's worth it. Those holes that are on the bay are like a poor man's Pebble Beach.

Probably $70-80 peak. Last few years they had 3 or 4 prices, depending on time.

I see several mentions of Eagles Landing, which is a nice course, but one word of caution - there are a number of forced carries over marsh. Check out the layout to make sure it fits your game.

Was down there a couple of weeks ago and we played Glenriddle War Admiral, Glenriddle Man'O War (both on Friday), Rum Pointe on Saturday, and Lighthouse on Sunday.

Honestly, Lighthouse's greens were nowhere near as nice as Rum Pointe's, IMO - seems no one knows how to fix a pitchmark at Lighthouse.

That being said, it's the best course of the four..............of course, if you're looking to maximize your golf I'd recommend playing 36 at Glenriddle - the replay is only $40 after paying full price for your first 18.

I actually got my weekly email from clickateetime. They had River Run for $45.00 weekdays. We will be going out monday at 8:20. Can't wait.
