This weeks finds include...

A MacGregor Tourney HL. No club number which I found odd. It has a MacGregor Pro-Pel #2 Medium Shaft and a rubber grip. Some wear and tear but pretty cool looking.

Izett Ardmore, PA. George Izett Hand Made #6 & #7. Both clubs are serial numbered #65590 and came with Lamkin grips. These are in really nice shape and really interesting. If anyone is familiar with these and can provide any information I would appreciate it.

Ben Hogan #3 & 4 Woods with "Speed Slots." These are both Serial Numbered #HO4342 and came with Ping Grips. Good overall condition and I like Hogan Woods.

A #4 Hogan. This one got varnished. It looks good but I know varnish is a no, no. It also has the "Speed Slot." It was serial numbered on the ferrule and the number ends in 616. I can't make the rest of it out. This one has a leather grip in pretty good condition.

Overall, some nice finds I think. I welcome comments and any information you guys can provide. I may eventually try my hand at restoring one of my classic woods but I wouldn't even know where to start at this point. I also tend to end up with way too many of them.

Well I can tell you I feel like an idiot because I just sold a set of clubs that included a matching Izett driver, 3, 5, & 7 wood for $40.00 for the complete set. The irons were Wilson Billy Caspers. The condition on them wasn't nearly as nice as the ones I still have though. But I Still... feel like an idiot.

An Arnold Palmer 4 Woods. Anyone know who produced this?

And a matched pair of MacGregor Jack Nicklaus Driver and 3 Wood. Serial #080W both have nice intact shaft labels on Tru-Action shafts with sweet leather wrap grips.

Tim. I like that Hogan 4 wood with the "Tiger" grain. Favourite of mine after the U pattern.

Regarding the Nicklaus and Palmer duo:

The Nicklaus is a store-line club.

The Palmer was made by First Flight Golf in Chattanooga, TN. Pretty good stuff, but not in the MacGregor/Wilson/Power Bilt league.
