Game Changer for Me

I have been struggling with my putting all summer and decided to make a drastic change. I was putting with my Scotty Laguna Pro Platinum and just not having any success at all, I have loved the Scotty for years but my putting just wasn't where it needed to be. 3 weeks ago i was at my local range and was looking at all the putters then had available and the heavy putter really felt very good im my hands. I took it out for 2 trial rounds and did not have one three putt. That was three weeks ago and I still have not 3 putted a green. I know some were saying distance control was a problem but I have not had any issues at all and this thing is almost a guarantee from inside 6 feet or so. Just wanted to share with you guys what I found with this thing, it is definitely worth a shot if you are looking to slow down your stroke and get a lot more consistent with your putting.

I think ill keep the Scotty, I need to send it in and have it reworked. It was my putter from High School (Graduated in 03) It has been through some rough rounds and shows it for sure.

Just want to update my heavy putter experience. After almost a full season I have to say that this thing is for real. I am still knocking everything in from 5 ft and in. The longer putts did take a while to get dialed in but I have finally got them figured out and my lag putting is great now. For anyone that gets their hands involved and wants to cure the yips on those short puts this thing is for you. It will be in the bag for a long time.

Good to hear. I had one of the originals -- not much to look at -- and it was good for short to medium length putts. I could not get comfortable with the longer putts...it was like hitting a marshmallow with an anvil. I ended up selling it b/c of that and the way it looked.

The originals were defiantly ugly. I went with the traditional mallet

if you have to resort to this band aid putter -you have a real problem . next stop is the belly putter

I'd putt with a 2x4 if I make putts with it. Isn't putting about what works for you and your stroke?

I've thought about getting the lightweight 8802 version. Next time I'm at GG, I'll give it a shot.

Maybe it was just coincidence, but about two weeks after purchasing the heavy putter i became a yips-victim. now i have been struggling for two years with my putting and don't know how to escape. belly putter didn't work..

but from the first two weeks with the heavy putter i know that you will improve your length control with this.

last weekend i went round with an F3DF, its but ugly and it sounds like a hammer hitting an anvil when it strikes my cally i(z), but i liked the weight. im quite new to golf and my coach suggested the extra weight could help me get used to using my larger muscles only during my stroke.

i cant make a proper analysis of its performance as our grrens had just been cored and it was like trying to putt on a beach.

i did contact Boccieri to ask if the latest models had the same awful sound, he claims that their blade putters sound more conventional due to the balance. anyone tried one of their blades? do they sound like a conventional putter?
