Clicgear 3.0 bungee straps

Gang -

 

I went to the local golf shop today to check out the Clicgear 3.0. It seemed nice but I do have a question about the bungee strap system used to secure the bag to the cart. The box said something like "proven adjustable strap mechanism" but neither the salesman or I had much luck figuring out how to adjust it.

 

I'm guessing that the sliding "pin" (which can move along the bungee) is what makes it adjustable but it sure seemed like it would not stay in place when under pressure and just slide to the end of the bungee.

 

We threw a standbag on it and he really had to wrestle with the top strap in order to get the hook and pin to fasten. Even on this average size standbag the bungee strap seemed too short.

 

Each bungee has another "slider" on it but it was not obvious what its purpose was.

What has your real world experience been with this strap system? I'd like to be able to use my standbag on this cart and be able to easily attach it and not have it rotate mid-round.

Straps work great, adjust easy & hold up very well. See if the clicgear site has a demo video, even if its the unfolding video, it may help you with adjusting the straps. It's not the easiest to explain but the adjustble plastic works like a pinching cleat on the back half of the piece, pop the bungee straps apart & then you can slide or adjust the position of the 'pin'.

I found this video which talks about the strap adjustment. It's from an earlier model but no doubt is the same for the 3.0.
