Wilson 'Tournement" Irons and Resolon Woods
I have aquired a set of Wilson "Tournement" Blades-muscle back irons ( model # 37825 ) with matching serial numbers. Also with them is a set of "Resolon" ......( I am told they are ceramic ) woods Black with a white face inset with a black diamond. The serial numbers on the woods match the irons. They seem to have mabey seen 1-5 rounds as they are pristine. They all have the " reminder grip". checking the trade mark the Wilson Sporting Goods company was granted the patent on resolon in 1963 and it expired in 1984. The Irons are 2-9 and the woods are 1-3 and 4 I will try to post pics later.

Question? what is the circa for these clubs?

The wilson crest on the irons is a W with oak leaves on each side of the "W" I have never seen this before, nor have I been able to locate these irons-woods anywhere on the internet. These are in such immaculate condition I shall keep them for prosterity! LOL!

Any information and help would be appreciated.

The Resolon heads aren't ceramic, but are actually Cycolac or a similar molded plastic.

Wilson used this material in several of their bottom of the line store line sets such as the Walker Cup model and the mens and womens Crest models. The use of Cycolac was very common in store line clubs of the late 60s and early 70s. Spalding called their version "Persimmonite." Northwestern, MacGregor and Kroydon/Ram had their versions as well (the MacGregor models were some of the ugliest golf clubs of all time!).

A friend of mine back in the 70s had one of those Resolon Walker Cup 3 woods. It actually had a through bore shaft with a wooden plug in the shaft tip. It was the only thing on that head made of wood. Despite the fact it was the cheapest of the cheap, he hit it very well.

"You think we play the same stuff you do?"
