I love golf and I drive a WRX I should fir in here?

Hello fellow golfers,

 

I live in Park City Utah by way of Massachusetts. I have been in Utah for 20 years. I use to go back to Mass in the summers and live in Marthas Vinyard were I worked at Farm Neck Golf Course. But now I am year round in Park City. The season is just about done here but winter brings snowboarding and snowmobiling which is why I moved out here although I now prefer the summers with golf, motorcycling and mountain biking. I use to play 3-4 times per week but I am now a proud papa of two very young kid's so I am a once a week player now but I get plenty of time to practice at my house at my range. Pins are 85 - 110 -130 yards from mat. I have another mat by the green for chipping 10 - 25 shots.

 

Yeah I have a bit of a love affair with this wicked game.

Going to do something very similar next Spring.. We just got a 2 acres, and I will just start with one targe /sudo green 100yds... Thinking about making a nice bench/teebox/ball washer combo ... Did you jusy mow the field grass lower? Or is there somekind of green/surface?

Either way- great job! Looks like a good place to call home.

I just mow the grass lower with a lawn tractor. Because the size of the green areas are so large putting down synthetic turf would be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I am however going to install a putting green with synthetic turf in the near future. I have 2.5 acres and I had pictured this set up before I even bought the land or built my house.

I love Seattle and surrounding area I get up there quite a bit in summer to catch the Red Sox when they are in town and get in some golf. Chambers Bay and Washington National are my favorites. What other courses are a must play?

CB and WA Natl are both great, very very different from each other. Other places to try in the puget sound area: Home Course, Salish Cliffs (never been and brand spanking new, but heard it's great), Whitehorse, Druids Glen. If you want to travel a bit try either of the Suncadia tracks, Bear Mountain (my WA fav), Desert Canyon. I am sure there are others I am forgetting.

Nice setup and welcomr to the community! Some of my personal Washington favorites are Gold Mountain, Wine Valley (eastern wa.), and The Home Course.
