Golf Pride Tour Tradition vs Ping Blackout

How do sizes compare?

Has anyone out there tried and compared these two grips? I have used a Ping BO exclusively for the last few years, but love the orange if the Golf Pride grip. I am really anal about grip size, and use 5 layers under a blackout, will I need more, less or the same to maintain the same level of thickness in the Golf Pride?

The the Tour Tradition is slightly thicker than the Pingman. If you use 5 layers under the Pingman I would use 3 with the Tour Tradition and you should be good. I am extremely sensitive about grip size too.

I recently switched to the Tour Tradition from years of using the Ping Blackout. VERY similar size, agree with above post that Tour Tradition is slightly thicker (more noticeable in the lower hand). I like the Tour Tradition better, maybe because the lack of letters on the lower hand makes it feel better to me.

I just put a Tour Tradition on last week and hated the thing.

Size was nice,as was the shape. However felt 'very loose' and seemed to have quite a bit of movement in the material itself - especially in the top hand as there was quite a bit of soft rubber there !

Since changed to a similiar size,much firmer grip and am alot happier.

Just a heads up incase................

Agree 100%, love the Tour Tradition but noticed the same thing. So soft that it almost feels squishy or will move in your hand.

Do you mean the Tour Classic? That's the mid-sized Golf Pride grip. I agree that one is a little squishy, but the Tour Tradition is pretty firm (to me anyway).

No 100% i meant the Tour Tradition ! Squidgiest grip ive used for a while.

Stuck a Lamkin 3GEN grey/black on now,and the feel difference is night and day better......

To me; soft grips = no sensation. Firmer grips let you feel whats happening.
