Not quite sure what to make of this one. I am pretty sure I wont buy it again, but it seems to get a bit better as it warms up. To me it tastes like a very weird combo of pale ale IPA and strong ale. Much rather just have an Enjoy by or a Double Bastxxx

It is not that its bad and I want to pour it out, just can think of quite a few beers in this style that I would rather have if that makes sense

Solid score tonight

Growler = 64oz of Stone Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastxxx, two more bottles of BBA Old Dipsea, i think they were mis marked because they were $10 cheaper than I have seen anywhere else. Founders Devil Dancer, super strong triple ipa, and some Petrus for the GF, I just cant get into sours.

 

 

Edit: Note to self would be a wise move to pick up a 32oz growler, 64 is a bit overkill for 1 person. :alcoholic: :alcoholic:

So, how was it?

We just lined up a trip that will put us in Asheville/Sierra Nevada the Friday after July 4. Looking forward to picking up a few things not available in MD or DE, like Founders and Mills River only offerings.

It is pretty solid, I have been losing my palate for IPA's after a winter of stouts, quads and barleywines. I will most definitely go grab a 4 pack of devil dancer again.

Founders Breakfast stout with about 7 months of age on it and it ages very well.

I enjoyed the smoking wood by them heard really good things about cuirve by toddnt and forelife. I always get confused on the bruery with what styles they are. So usually hesitant to buy them in fear I end up getting something I'm not a fan of like sours or saisons

Glad you got some SOS. i struck out ( translation - got lied to) at two different local stores yesterday. Im sick of the secret handshake game around here with it. Really psyched about GF sculpin avail tho! Got a whole bunch this week, could drink this stuff non stop.

I didnt get to stop. Spent to long at my other destination and had to get home to the dog.

On a positive note the Stone Enjoy By 07/14/15 is pretty good. I really enjoyed it.
