Sitting at one of my alltime favorite bars anywhere, blues on the stereo drinking a bells 3rd coast have bottles of Avery Samuel ale some wolf amongst weeds to take home plus whatever else I end up buying lol fwiw the bar has a bottle shop attached. The scotch selection is out of this world too

Scored one more KBS tonight. Store said the had a few in the owners office they found and just put them on the shelf. Also picked up a Bell's Uranus.

Anybody try Stone Ruination 2.0? The original is what drove me headfirst into craft beer and was my favorite for years, still a top 5. I was devastated when they announced 2.0. I tried it last month and it was very good, just very different from the original. More "enjoy-by-ish" if that makes sense. I appreciate Stone's quest to keep evolving, but will miss the original "tongue-ripper"

Recent pickups. the Old Brown Dog is kinda special to me now, our pup Bogey was named brown dog when he was at the shelter before we got him. We saw this today and had to get it and put the bottle next to his picture since we had to put him down last Saturday.

Another tough one tonight lost my Grandma. After a few weeks of really deteriorating and being in pain she went peacefully in her sleep at 94. Incredibly sad to see her go but also incredibly glad that she is no longer suffering. Stopped by one of my bottle shops on the way home to get something to drink to celebrate her long and wonderful life and I ran across these guys

So to the Chi-Town guys... If you walked into Goose Island, what exactly is in there by way of bottles?

I don't think they do much in terms of to go bottles that I remember. Occasionally for a special release, but that's about it. However the taps are always pretty good and they have limited and experimental beers all the time. There's actually three different places. Two brewpubs and a tap room. The tap room does BCBS taps once a week.
