Hey all,

I did a search on here to find my answer, but couldn't find a whole lot of information, so I thought I'd start a thread. I'm sure everyone has seen their commercials on the golf channel, so I was wondering, what's the catch? I requested information and it seems like a great deal, but it almost seems too good to be true. I mean, no initiation fee, no minimums, etc and an affordable monthly rate sounds great for a young guy like myself, but I don't want to end up getting caught by the fine print. Let me know if anyone has info because I'm thinking about joining since ANCC didn't work out as planned.

Thanks for the help.

Gatorman2k6 - Like you, I saw their videos & was intrigued. I signed for one of their complementary rounds of golf. The course is in decent condition. I have never played at any other country clubs so I really don't have anything to compare it too, but I would say they on the same level with a course like Greendale or Pohick in Fairfax county.

I decided not to sign up but for the price it is probably a good deal especially if you take advantage of the fitness center & pool.

Thanks for the info. A buddy and I are going to take advantage of the complementary round in the spring, to see what the course is like. I knew it wouldn't be on the same level as other country clubs, but I figured it was worth it to at least check out. If I had the choice, I'd join Army/Navy CC.

Thanks for the help. If anyone else has info, let me know.

Gator...all my feedback is about 6 years old, but I'll give it to you anyway. The Club at that time 2006 was under a different ownership than they are now. I was friends with the GM and pretty much got to play there anytime I wanted. It was kind of conveneint for a sneak out of work early and get a round in then head home type of thing.

The course at the time was in fair to poor shape. Many of the fairways had bare spots, the greens in general were very good. The layout is quirky but not too bad. There are some holes you can try and score on and then there are a few where you will take your par OR bogey and run.

At the time all the other amenities at the club were also just so/so. I did enjoy the pub a few times for a nice sandwhich and beer afterward. The tennis and pool areas were in disrepair.

I would definitely go check out their member for a day or trial membership. for the low cost they are talking, if the course is in decent shape at all it's a good deal.

That said if Army/Navy is in your budget, it's a no brainer...Army/Navy all the way. I have played there as well and really enjoyed it.

Thanks for the feedback! Haha, I wish Army/Navy was in my budget. My dad just joined, and it was my home course for high school golf, so I'd love to join, but since I wasn't a junior on his membership, I'd have to pay the full amount...

Shoot, I am in the military and I still can't join because I'm not a Officer or a warrent officer. But I drive by one of their courses and its a jaw dropper.
