@Angus

If you can get on, TPC Sawgrass is a must. The Stadium course can be costly and if it's near the time of The Players Championship it will be even tougher to get on. The sister course, Dye's Valley is a solid course with water in play on almost hole, very challenging but well worth it. No matter which course you play at TPC Sawgrass, you will not be disappointed. Top notch facility and courses.

I'd also recommend the LPGA courses (Champions and Legends) off of I-95. I played the Champions course a few months ago and enjoyed it. Similar to Sawgrass, it was well run and in great condition. GPS in cart was a plus too. Since playing there, I've had a few people tell me I should have played the Legends course. Next time I'm heading down I-95 I will make it a point to stop and play the Legends course.

Hope this helps. Looking forward to feedback from others...

Matt

I went there last fall and had a blast............Stayed at the World Golf Village, great accomodations........Played the two courses there, King & Bear and the Squire & Slammer......both great, fun courses with all the amennities .......Visited the World Golf HOF, that place is awesome, spent the whole afternoon there. They also have an IMAX theatre right there. Check out the PGA store, they have everything in there........If your hungry go to the Bill Murray's Caddyshack Grill, great atmosphere, tons of memorabilia from the movie, and great food.............St. Augustine itself is fantastic..........some of the oldest architecture in USA.........Fountain of youth......we looked around by riding on the trolly they have that goes to all the town attractions. If you have any sense of history at all, you'll love St. Augustine and the World Golf Village.

K&B and S&S were two courses I was giving serious thought to playing, I was also looking at St Johns and Royal St Augustine. Is the area bicycle friendly as far as seeing the sights?

I live in Jax, and yes St Johns is a nice course. Dont know much about Royal other than they are under new management. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Yes on the bicycles....attractions weren't too far apart......traffic wasn't horrible to get around........the trolley deal is pretty good though........you can get off at each attraction and stay as long as you like as another trolley comes by every half hour or so..........

St. Johns is a nice course, solid but not spectacular. The only other course I've played up there is Fleming Island, which is maybe 30 minutes south of Jax. That course is a hidden gem.

As a general note, green fees are low in the summer because it is ridiculously hot. I like to get the first (or anything before 8 AM) tee time on summer mornings so that way you get good value and aren't suffering from severe heat and sun for the entire round.

      Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
