Keep hitting it thin

need to get more consistant contact

I'mcurrently off 4 and I'm pretty sure the main barrier for me to get down toscratch (my goal) is improving my balls striking consistency. I generally hitall but one or two fairways a round, but then only hit eight or nine greens. Ihad a few lessons a couple of years ago, but it ruined me mentally. I went from5 to 14 in about 6 months, and it taken me a year and a half to get back down.I've now decided to work on my game mainly myself, but am looking for someoutside help.

Whatdo you think I need to improve in my swing to get me there?

early extension, and a stall and a flip with the hands.

basically on the downswing your pelvis is moving towards the ball, and you your spine straightens up to be more vertical....and in doing so your body stalls out and the hands takeover and it flips the club through impact. can get away with it when you time it well....but you'll always hit it a little weak and thin.

whereas with nearly every pro/good ballstriker their left hip/butt will move deep behind them as they pressure their left heel and they'll create all sorts of room for their arms/hands, and through the move they create leveraged, solid power into the ball/ground where the hands lead the ball through impact and they compress the ball and take a divot.

Thanks tfish. I can see what you are saying there, I'll try a couple of those drills and try fix that up a bit. I'm guessing this will be a hard thing to fix from the look of it. Seems like something I have been doing for years.
