Who here as played it?

 

What was your impression?

 

Looking forward to playing it, I've heard nothing but great things from a lot of great golfers and guys in the industry.

I played it once and this was after playing many of the top courses in the Okanagan, Vancouver and Whistler Area about 5 years ago.

This was our last stop before heading back home and we tee'd off at 10am on a weekday.

What comes to mind first is the helicopters training right next to the golf course so we could hear chopper blades throughout our 18 holes.

The course is nice but truthfully not one I'm excited about going back to. Perhaps it was all the amazing golf before this that impedes my proper judgement. I've talked to many local pros here in Alberta and many have mentioned it's one of their favorite courses but it just didn't deliver for me.

There isn't one hole that really stands out for me since our round. Out of all the courses we've played on Canada's top 100 list from score (Which isn't the strongest list imho) both of us left feeling surprised this course was on it. We were also surprised Pemberton was on it compared to the other courses we played in BC on the list.

However the lunch we had at the clubhouse really hit the spot afterwards before our 6 hour drive home

What other courses had you played prior to being there? What others would you rank higher?

I thought Salmon Arm was top notch better than anything but Tobiano in that area! Hole 18 stands out to me with, conditions were great, and a old school layout unlike the new gimiky courses such as the rise in Vernon. Absolute must play in my mind. If your there head to Talking Rock also!

I honestly can not remember a single hole from this course . . .












but haven't played there since 1994. I remember it being great weather, a fair test, decent condition with fantastic greens. Played it with an ex gf (avid golfer too) and have since had the piece of my brain containing 1994 removed so now it's just a general feeling of "would love to play it again".

I played in in 2008. I just thought it was in immaculate condition, great greens, and a solid layout. They were redoing some hole while I was their mostly with the hazards. It was very playable. They treated their guests as if they were members, I loved that!
