Who are they for?

Is it me, or when you hear Adams you think of clubs for your grandfather? Fo some reason I just can't get past the issue that they are for old people. I just can't find myself buying them except on my grandfather's birthday. Whats the deal?

If that's the case I think you need to try opening your mind. Adams makes great clubs for all level of players.

I know, but my dad got a coupan for those clubs in his "Just for Men" hair dye. Just kidding, but maybe they do too much Champions Tour promotions. When I think of Adams, I think of old person clubs, maybe they need to hire a better PR department/advertising agency.

I got a brand new Adams "Tour" LP RPM 13* 3W and it is awesome. I am about a 4, and this club is light years better in appearance and performance than my old Titleist 3Ws (904F). The only thing I don't like about it is the noise it makes, sounds very hollow. I think some melt will fix that.

Go hit the Idea pro hybrid with the VSproto shaft. This thing kicks serious butt and is just about the best thing since your grandfathers Viagra. Yea and the headcover rocks like my Van on a Saturday Night. And I don't even own a Van..

You need to try their Idea Pro hybrids and forged irons. Report back after you do. Hopefully you have the game to play them.... :)

Open your mind and go hit the Pro Forged. These irons are every bit as good as Mizuno irons. I think your opinion of Adams will change once you check these out.

Also, at the tour championship yesterday, I noticed the club rep working the hardest was the Adams rep. Everytime I saw him he had a hybrid in his hand giving it to a different player.

I don't care who they're marketed to, they offer great value, in sets that make sense for regular golfers.

2,3,&4 irons should be special order, and the hybrids should be standard imho.

I think what they're actually doing (iron wise) is great. How the market it is maybe the problem.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with targeting the Champions tour. But I do see how this leads to younger folk thinking they're 'dads' irons.

Why? Because when one makes that kind of statement and throws in a Just For Men hair dye barb, it usually sounds like it's coming from someone is still really young and perhaps still a bit immature. Or, perhaps it indicates one doesn't really care about posting the best score he can by using whatever clubs that work best for him and his game, regardless of whether it's Adams, any other OEM or component club. Or, you can worry more about what you're wearing, where you're playing and what the name on your clubs are rather than your score. Both types of people can still enjoy the great game of golf whichever your goal is!
