What is "normal" use

I'm just throwing this out there because I want to know if I'm being unreasonable about the condition of a FT-3 driver I got of ebay. Before I email the seller, I wanted to get your opinions. On the ad he said it was in 8.5-9/10 condition and was played 10-15 rounds. He called the marks on the bottom of the club normal scuffing from play.

When I got the club, the paint is fading off the heel portion behind the chevron logo. I was wondering is this normal for anyone who has FT-3's or would you even consider paint fading off the bottom of a club "normal" ever?

To me normal scuffing is the brush marks that are on the sole of titanium drivers and is to be expected, but faded paint...

opinions anyone?

hey i think that the paint "fading" for those clubs are normal but i dont think it should be that bad after 10-15 rounds. that is unless the guy hits the ground during every drive! and i dont think that it is fading, more like scuffing until the paint rubs away. i have seen many ft-3s that have that problem.

the paint doesnt fade for a long while iv had my driver since it came out and it still hasnt shown a hint of a fade.

I had mine for roughly 3 rounds and sold it because I tee it low. The carbon fiber behind the chevron looks scruffy real quick, paint gets scuffs also. I sold mine after hitting 30-40 times as an 8.5/10 condition with this picture. 10-15 rounds could be bad these don't hold up that well for texas golfers with sandy loam base coarses.

I dont think your being unreasonable, but the seller seems to be rating his/her clubs a little high in regards to condition. I have seen several Callaway FT-3's that have went through a whole season of demo days/ball beaters that have not faded/scratched on the color paint.

It all comes down to what you paid for the driver.

You described it perfect, it's scuffing and the paint is rubbed away because of it. I'm 50/50 right now if I'm going to do anything about it now. I can understand the paint rubbing away after a while, but 10-15 rounds just doesn't seem like a lot, though maybe it was just teed low like another poster suggested. I'm still not sure I'll email the seller, for the sake of karma, I may just suck it up. Cosmetics don't bother me too much, but the thought I may have overpaid does a little. Thanks for all the opinions, it helps. Especially all you FT-3 owners.
