I'm not going to lie, I'm digging all the Wilson Staff. I picked up some CI7 irons for a buddies dad as an upgrade over his late 80's Wilson irons and he absolutely loves them. Nice bag!

What a great setup. liking the putter but really loving those irons. have you been out played these yet? Or are they brand new?

Everything is brand new. I've only hit them a few times indoors. Most of the golf courses here (in Finland) are still closed, recovering from winter. Including my home course.

lovin the [i][b]STAFF. [/b]I carry Pi5 irons, TW9 wedges, and Srixon driver, 3 wood, and [/i]Clevelan Mashie 20.5. Love Wilson Staff irons and wedges, but cant seem to find the woods to my liking. Last of their woods I liked was the DD6 series

The DXi line is actually pretty good. The 3 wood I have is the best I've had in years, usually struggle with fairway woods but this one works. I changed the driver from 10.5 DXi to 9.0 to get a more penetrating trajectory, gained some distance because of that. The putter has changed from the old Anser2 to Rife Abaco with a tropical finish. Probably going to play these for the next few years and then see if i need to get something new.

Great set up!!! I am now a member of the Wilson Staff family (see sig) as I play the FG Tour irons and Wedges...[color=#ff0000]SERIOUSLY![/color]

So you are from Finland...maybe that explains the color of your DXi headcovers...here in the USA those headcovers are bright red and black...or maybe it is just the lighting when you took the pictures but they look different...just an FYI.

Hope you hit them good when you get a chance.

They are exactly the same headcover as you described, red and black. Must be the lighting I guess. However, the W/S stuff have been very good. Nothing to complain about.

 

A minor update to my bag as I changed from the Rife Tropical Abaco to Rife Montserrat. I've always had an Anser style putter and I like the look and distance control of blade putters. I measured my stroke with the Ping software and it showed that I constantly have my putter face 2-3 degrees open during contact and my typical mistake is a push with the putter. I solved this by getting rid of the Abaco since I can't aim with anything rounded and replaced it with a blade that has more toe hang than the usual Anser style I've used before to help me square the putter face.

And of course, welcome to the W/S family. It's a really nice family despite being very underrated. Have the wedges been any good? I'm not too happy with the Cleve CG15 I currently have and maybe need something else for next year. I like the DSG grind but the oil quench finish is no good (I thought it would rust but didn't) and the lazer milled grooves are just one big lie. They basically wore off after the two first practice sessions. Also they don't have the soft feel that my previous forged wedges had.

I sold all my stuff, except the Rife Montserrat putter. Currently playing with these:

 

 

Ping Eye2 Irons 2i - S with some ZZ-shafts, which I don't know what flex they are. Top Flite Magna 12 loft driver and 15 loft 3 wood with some Top Flite graphite shafts where only remaining visible text says "medium"

 

 

Extremely forgiving and easy to hit, because its OVERSIZE.

 

 

Internal weights are palaced to optimize COG for high launch+low spin, and to create a small fade bias for the better player.

 

 

And of course, a large hitting area with variable face thickness technology and latest hot titaniu... composite material?

Shot 82 yesterday with these. Made too much bogies because the Eye2 irons are one or two clubs shorter than my previous FG Tours, had difficulties with correct distances. Also not knowing what loft my S-wedge was, I flew atleast one approach shot over the green. The driver was about 20-25 yards shorter compared to modern drivers, but I hit it in the fairways with quite low trajectory.

Nope, I'm planning to get G20 or i20 driver+fw woods and S56 irons during the next few weeks. Until then I have to play with those.
