Looking to Improve my Swing

Here are two driver swings, a face on and a down the line. Both of these swings yielded good results.

 

It looks like in the face on view, I am releasing the club a bit early? And I am also standing up taller as I make impact. Any other critiques? I don't really know what I am looking for. Thank you!

next time put the camera on your foot line, instead of outside the ball.

you're correct on both accounts in your swing. probably hit low pulls or slices. and sky the ball if it's not teed so low.

couple things to work on that'll put you in better positions for the rest of it to work....

1. in your setup, your spine needs to tilt away from the target. meaning your right shoulder should be lower than the left, left hip can be preset and bumped out so its a little more over your left foot, and your head will feel behind the ball (probably pretty significantly at first, but you'll get used to it)

2. your lifting your hands away from your body and hinging your wrists behind you too early in the takeaway. ends up creating a flattish shoulder turn (and arms above shoulder plane), and the club never really finds the right balance point at the top. we want the takeaway move to be and feel completely initiated by the shoulder turn. so the hands don't start to rotate the clubface open until ~8:00 in the backswing (halfway back). and the hands will feel like they come in more toward your right pocket initially, while the clubface moves back in a straight line from the ball.

3. downswing.....typical problem with nearly every amateur. commonly referred to as 'early extension' or 'humping the goat'.....where your pelvis moves towards the ball in the downswing instead of pivoting/rotating deep and correctly. and it forces the rest of your to stand up, lose your posture, your hands don't have room to come through, means a steep swing, early release, flip, swing path's out-to-in (pulls/slices)

if you can clean up the setup position, work on the backswing some, and master those downswing movements, the ball contact/lag/distance/consistency will take care of itself.

I really appreciate the comments. A lot to change, but I will work on it. I have scheduled my first golf lesson for next Wednesday.

I didn't notice that I was sliding towards the ball on the down the line view, but I have made some practice swings really focusing on not doing that and it seems like it is causing a more in to out swing....does that make sense?
