What driver setup are you using?
50" total length. Krank Rage Black 5 degree head with House of Forged Prototype XXX 270 CPM shaft.
I don't think I could even my bag in my trunk with that thing in there. I'd have to cut it in half first!

haha ya it is a beast

Does it feel like your hips are clearing and does your weight
feel centered on your left foot ? Could use a down the line
view instead of face on . What are your trackman numbers ?
ill post up a down the line shot in a bit. Not sure what trackman numbers are. Its been years since ive been on one. If I had to speculate id say clubhead speed in the low 140s ball speed around 210-215
To address the first part of your question...No, sometimes it feels like im sliding and my hips arent clearing. And my weight is sometimes out on the toe of my left foot

I would like to take it even further past parallel and really clear the hips to create some more lag. Im gonna go to the range, do some work, and try to get some more videos.

That's beast dude, long driving is cool stuff! What setup are you playing when you have to play conforming equipment, do you slow your swing down in regular golf tournaments for more control?

Thanks
for tournaments i play a 6 degree Krank Rage with a house of forged XX whupnshaft Lt. 48inch
I do slow the swing down quite a bit to the 125 to 130 range. It just depends on the situation. I tend to hit it straighter with an agressive swing

after watching that I don't even feel qualified to give you advice but your swing somewhat reminds me of mine, just much much faster. I keep my feet wider than my shoulders if I'm pulling the ball, it keeps my lower body quite and thats when I struggle to really explode and throw my hips at the target, when I shorten my stance to even with my shoulders and my hands are in tune with my body I get easily 10 more yards, at your SS that could result in 30-40 more yards. IDK if you've tried it but it seems you've got a handle on your swing and your hands are probably going with your body just how you want then, you'll get more of a rotation as well with your feet closer together you just have to stay balanced

I stopped that vid in a couple spots on the downswing, that's some serious lag going on.

You could have better extension at the top of the backswing, like straighter left arm for a longer arc sort of thing, dunno if that'll help or not, jsut a thought.
Thank you for the comment. I totally agree. I worked out a lot this year and lost some flexibility. I too noticed how my left arm is bent. Im going to do some serious yoga and get some flexibility back in my deltoids and hips

I can see 400 there for sure. Heck I have seen 412 yard drives with a stock taylormade Xstiff R9 and not even be close to those SS numbers.

As far as helping you get better, Heck I have to learn how to hit the driver myself before I can give out any advice.

OP is this all carry 400 or with roll?
With roll. Carry is between 360 and 380
Your swing to me looked more like a 260-280yd drive. I would say you generate about 115mph clubhead speed.

just my 2 cents

Two things stand out to me.

First - Watch a LD hit a 400+ Drive. They come off the ground!!(Most of them). Your feet seem pretty content on being on earth and to me that says you're swinging 90%, certainly not 100%. a 400+ Drive is going to need wrist strength(lots) and you will always sacrifice accuracy for distance somewhat. Put 110% into it, then try to lag your hands more and you'll generate the speed for a 400+ more consistently(and you'll wake up with sore wrists, and cry when you try to brush your teeth!) There's a smidge of luck involved as well.

Second - Little wider on the feet, I'd put the ball back another ball in the stance but I like a Draw. That's really a XXX? It's deflecting a lot on the way down. Is it stock tip?

Nice swing, Use that one on the course. LD swings out of their shoes belong in LD comps.

STRETCH A LOT, Don't hurt your back like I did.

Everyone has that "once in a blue moon swing :)" That's 110% in my book. Every LD swing I ever took was everything I could possibly muster and then some. I was a dumb kid though and hurt my back. Holy crap I did poke some of em out there though. I haven't been near a LD contest as a contender in 8yrs. I had a 505cc 52" driver at one point, rules are way different now. I used to ice my wrists for the entire car ride back to wherever we were going... And the next morning my neck and right lower rib would be killing me. I miss those contests, the days of Springface and Hot Drivers with COR like .88 flat murdering the ball, nothing happens like that now.

LD's that win come off the ground most of the time or damn close to it. ;) I'll put it that way.

I have no doubt that went 400 yards. Thats a serious tail wind. Plus if the OP was at any kind of altitude easily believable.

Do the math. Even if he is swinging 115. Add speed for
The longer shaft. Add 10% depending on what altitude (because that doesn't look like FL).

Just saying its not far fetched.

Edit: no tail wind, just camera noise. Still believable.

interesting stuff. I like your follow thru its very full. Were you a baseball kid? they seem to have full and big follow thru action. Your swing looks kind of upright with fairly straight legs at address. Have you seen someone like Trent Scruggs swing at the ball? He gets down thru it with his hips and legs and generates tremendous power that way, its almost like a squat lift. IMO only, if you try to get more extension in your backswing you could lose your spinal tilt away from the target and actually lose power and lag coming back down as a result. Monty Scheinblum talks about this I don't know. What is interesting in this new era is that there must be over 2,000 guys out there now that can hit 400. I think the equipment and technology and the BALL have made a huge difference. I just cannot imagine that you would be outdriving young Jack Nicklaus with a persimmon wood driver, he never came close to 400 and yet he had an incredibly efficient and powerful swing. Nowadays it seems half the guys on this board would be carrying 50 yards past the guy. I just wonder at the technology, that is what impresses me more than anything else.

Hm, as far as I can see there is two things that would bug if it was me on the vid.
First, you seem really stiff in the hip and shoulder section. Looks like you cant turn even the 90°. Stretch?!
Weight stays of the left foot, thats like really obvious, you seem to fall back onto the right foot and have no balance at the end of your swing, I think thats really crucial.
