black paint fill and grey paint fill

I have a tour issue SQ tour head. It has no serial and has a black paint fill.
Got it from a very credible source.
What is the difference between the grey paint fill and the black paint fill? does it show a different internal weighting or something. Mine's brand new and uninstalled so I can't vouch for performance.

What do you mean by black and grey paint fill. On scorelines? A SQ Tour tour issue should either hav BT serial or no serial with no paint fill i the scorelines at all.

it is for sure. My source works on the tour van..it just seems folks aren't aware of all the tour issued versions..neither am i for that matter

it could still be a retail head that was used on tour. alot of stuff comes out of fort worth that is used on tour but is still retail stuff with either a BR serial or no serial at all. i have seen for myself. its also the stuff that the. reps get. i saw a retail max with no serial that was ordered by a rep. some wedges and a set of blades also.

I have the same club with the tour head and black fill, and no serial number. I had it made for me on the nike traveling truck outside of Golf Galaxy in Pittsburgh is it tour issue? It is different from the ones in the store.

I was told by one of the guys on the Nike tour van that I am friends with the same thing. Same thing, just tighter tolerances for head weight and face angles.

there are always different protos of heads but i have heard aswell from a credible source that most of the heads used on tour are exactly the same to start as the retail ones they are just picked for higher tolerances for face angle, loft, weight, COG, MOI, and COR. all of which can be changed with internal weighting or bending. the other things i have seen on "tour" heads are no alignment aids, and i have seen the powerbow painted black instead of grey, actually looks pretty cool

How many Punch Marks on the Hosel ? Any scoring lines where there should'nt be? (e.g. Center).

 

FYI: There are TWO versions of the SQ TOUR "TOUR" head, really FOUR if you count the SQ TOUR 410 and the SQ TOUR JDI (which most use) not to mention the SQ TM.

 

So if you look at it that way, they ARE NOT THE SAME.
