How was your round? I am playing here in about 3 weeks.
[/quote]

I played it about 1 month ago.

The greens were pretty dry and very rough. The fairways were fine. As a local, I payed $60, but honestly there are better deals and courses in town. Before you set a tee time, call to make sure that they did not aerate.

Also:
1. no gps
2. no hole pictures on scorecard
3. no hole placard at the tee box showing you what the hole looks like.
4. very poor yardage markers. Only has 150 yard markers and a few sprinkler heads marked.
5. I suggest getting the yardage book from the pro shop. I think you have to pay for it however.

From the championship tees it is a daunting task.

Whatever driver happens to be working at the time
Some random 3 wood
My same, old irons
A few wedges...

daunting? no. this course is very scoreable, just look back to when they had a round or two there for the pga tour event.

I assume you have never actually played it. It has only hosted the LV Senior Classic. Are you thinking of TPC Summerlin? That's where the LV Invitational was. I was there when Appleby won.

Many of the championship tees at TPC LV are located at a completely different spot than the regular tee boxes. I think on the 4th or 5th hole, the tee box is actually about 80 yards away from the regular boxes.

Slope: 136
Rating: 73.4

Believe me, it's not that scoreable.

I agree, it's not an easy course. However, it was in the rotation of the PGA Tour's LVI for about ten years. Up until the Founders Club stopped hosting the tournament and Justin Timberlake took over

You are completely wrong.

1. I have played it many times.
2. The JT shriners used to be the Frys.com in Las Vegas, in the early years they had one round at TPC LAS VEGAS. get your facts straight. They even had a round at Bear's Best one year.
Here's a link that shows that the tournament used to be hosted by both TPC Summerlin and TPC Canyons (now Las Vegas)

Why would I comment about a courses difficulty if I have never played it??? BTW 136 slope is not that high. You must have played a box too tough for you since its not scoreable and 136 is a high slope.
When the PGA tour was playing this course they destroyed in, too many 62-65s to mention.

I have played it 8 or 9 times and my worst score there is 74, and my best a 65. Its a fun course but not that hard, greens are relatively flat and its almost always in great shape so it makes scoring easy.

High school state as been there 2 out of the last 3 years and in those years the winning score was 132 and 133.

It's hard to get the facts straight when you go to the internet and all they show you is leaderboards, who won, how much money they won, but don't mention the venue.

I imagine there is a database somewhere with all this information but I could not find it.

I did manage to find Tigers scorecard from the 1996 LVI. It shows 5 rounds with different pars.

For years they played 1 round at TPC LV and 3 at TPC Summerlin, one year they played 1 at TPC LV, 1 at Bear's Best and 2 at TPC Summerlin, sadly now its all at TPC Summerlin. Tiger won at LV national.
