Cabo San Lucas golf courses

My wife and I will be in Cabo soon on vacation and wanted to know the must plays while I am there. I am looking at 2 perhaps 3 rounds. I already have Diamante set up and am trying to get on Querencia (to no avail at this point yet). I have spoken with their pro and they don't seem to have reciprocity with other clubs and its their busy season. I don't have any other connections so if you know if anything please PM me. Thanks. Anything else you would highly recommend?

I will be there for a week in February. How were you able to get onto Diamante if you dont mind me asking? I am certain there is no reciprocity with my club, I was planning on playing the following.

Figured Cabo was a solid place to spend my 30th.

I played the front 9 at Cabo Del Sol Ocean back in August of 2009....loved it
From what I hear they made some changes to the course since. I am headed back in February and I will probably play a full round at the ocean course (again...sort of). It actually works out well for me to play there since it is the closest course to my hotel.

OP here, so I've been back for a week and am still raving about Diamante. That place is incredible. I ended up catching it on a beautiful upper 70s day with little wind. I ended up playing with one of the playing professionals and also took a forecaddie. It was the most incredible golf course I have ever played. This place blows away Pebble Beach and other high end courses here in Michigan. This is a Davis Love track (first one I have ever played) and it was a great layout. They have 2 holes that don't fit the course (on a lake) while the rest of the course is links style. This is why it only got a course rating of mid 50s in the world. They have decided to redo the 2 holes to keep up with the nature of the track and add another hole by the water to have a 3 hole practice facility to go along with their incredible range where you hit out of areas carved out of rock. We played the tips out there and it had some very tough holes. The 568 yard par 4 10th up hill was a beast. They had a 290 yard par 3 as well. They have 5 sets of tees but wanted the challenge of seeing where the pros play from so chose this length. The back nine was over 4000 yards but with the expection of the 10th hole was able to get there in regulation on approach shots. Diamante has great variety to its layout and presented all kinds of challenges and a even a few risk reward shots. Each hole seemed unique and was very well thought out (with the exception of the 2 water holes which were good but again didn't fit with the layout). The course was in incredible condition with the greens being receptive and running at 10.5. The track was very well manicured and kept in phenomenal shape. One of the best parts was the experience. Every couple holes they had stations where you could eat sliders, tortilla soup, tomales, etc. You could get drinks at every station and even had candy stations in the huts. I have never seen this type of course and could easily live on the grounds and never need to play another track. Unfortunately, this is a very high facility and housing was very high, my wife and I looked into buying a retirement house and renting it out until we retired. Tiger Woods is in the process of making a more user friendly course there (will be his first finished course) and he has a house being built there. Hopefully, this will help you get an idea of the money required to live there. I do feel lucky that I had the chance to play this and highly, highly recommend anyone who has the opportunity to play Diamante must do it.

I also managed to play Palmilla (Mountain/Ocean nines) golf course. The ocean nine was pretty easy and the Mountain had a couple good par 4s (especially with wind). It was a good track but nothing special. The Ocean course had one green that was on the beach, kind of deceiving, when you would expect more ocean holes. I managed to get a golfnow deal at Palmilla otherwise its not worth their asking price for what it is.

Its actually not target golf at all. I tried to show some par 3s. Yes there are forced carries over the wastelands but never seemed to factor in. The forecaddie was sharp and knew how far my tee shots went so he would tell me where to aim and what carry distances were or how far it was to a certain target. The landing areas seemed pretty forgiving off the tee.

Again, Ill ask, how did you get onto Diamante?? I would love to play here but everyone I have talked to (their staff included) has stated its private and only for members or people who "say they are looking at property".

I appreciate your response I do have ID, although only 29, and not married (lived together 5yrs), and I have plenty of major credit cards. I don't think I would fall into your criteria, nor do I want to be dishonest about my lack of interest in purchasing property, if you can accommodate me for a round in Feb. it would be greatly appreciated.

If not I understand, but I don't want to waste your sales agents time when all I am interested in is taking in another solid golf experience and that alone.
