Need help with Scotty Del Mar 3.5 and TP Mills

Scotty Del Mar 3.5 with original grip, 8/10, not sure about headcover (forgot to ask...yeah, I know) for $140. Paint fill gone in the "C" of Cameron, sole is used but not abused.

 

TP Mills TP III Mizuno, 8/10, $40.00, head is shiny but scratched.

 

Are these good deals, average?

That seems a bit high for a what sounds like a so/so Del Mar 3.5, pictures would help alot, but still seems overpriced to me. If you really want a 3.5, i would wait until you find one in good shape for that price or maybe just a little more.

 

3.5 is an outstanding choice for a putter.

Don't worry , i would never laugh at you. You asked for help, and thats what we try to do here. The Del Mar 3.5 only came in PP finish in a retail version, there was a very limited Black version that were Tour, but no Circle T stamping, and for a short time you could order custom 3.5's.

 

MC, i am far from the authority on putters and their costs, but i have owned and still own several Del Mar 3.5's, including Pro Platinum retail versions, and i still believe that $140.00 for a non mint condition 3.5 is excessive.

I've been looking around ebay and did a price lookup on the PGA site and I think it may be high.

 

I've gotta go back there this week to pick up a driver I'm having re-shafted. I may see if they want to deal it down some if I buy it, the TP Mills, and a Baby Ben my wife wants. I'm gonna watch a few on ebay and see where they close, first.

the price for the #3 could be a good price based on the condition or it could be too high. If it is a putter you want to re-finish, then you should try to get it a little cheaper.

I've been looking around for a 3.5 myself, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of them out there right now.

I have seen a couple in pretty good shape go on ebay for 230-250 recently, but there isn't enough of them on the market to really set a good price example.
