Does a handsy golf swing make a handsy putter ?

It seems one benefit to me of migrating away from my handsy swing to a rotary / slicefixer / pivot dominated swing is ... I'll be confident I can use my pivot to chip and maybe even putt.

 

Could this be a major "side effect" of a pivot dominated swing ?

I have nothing to base this off of but my personal experiences...a little. I think it has a lot to do mentally. If I am comfortable with my swing putter is freed up because I not think I better make this eagle or birdie putt because this might be my only oppurtunity. I do find that if I start to flip in my swing I am more inclined to flip in the putting stroke.

You actually want to be connected for putting but have as little lower body movement as possible
