feedback on Fourteen wedges...

Has anyone dabbled in the Fourteen wedge game? Looking to try out a set of RM11's or even the upcoming 12's. I'd like a little feedback if possible before I drop some serious coin on them.

MT28 J-Spec forged 52* -- first 'JDM' wedge for me. Great soft, perfect heavy-wedge feel; opened the door for lots more JDM wedge experimentation.

MT28 V5 forged 60* -- as above, perfect.

Got them both used in great shape off the bay; neither are in he bag at present, but they're definitely in the rotation; highly recommended!

Absolutely top-notch! I have the RM11 and they soft, accurate and full of quality. I prefer the Nippon shaft over the DG.

thanks for the info. I'm thinking of ordering two RM12's. I prefer 10* of bounce and apparently that's what the 12's have as well as a better grind. Just trying to come to grips with the hefty price tag.

I have the Rm11 in 52 and 58. I really enjoy them. They feel nice (have them on KBS Tour), set up great, and they perform very well on full shots and around the greens. I need a higher bounce wedge being over here in Singapore (turf is pretty soft) as I am a digger/driver and the lower bounce wedges tend to dig on me quite a bit. Overall I would give them a great rating.

Are they worth the large price tag? That is a very subjective question and I think it really depends. I don't regret buying them and I did manage to get them when they were on sale, so the cost was not as high as it would normally be.

I concur. The RM11 are sweet wedges, won't be disappointed. I tried them and MT28 V5 and prefer RM11 as I felt they are softer!

I have the RM-11 and got them new from FairwayGolf USA - talk to Rob and he'll work out a good price for you that is more inline with US OEM wedge prices instead of the ridiculous $229 MSRP.

To me there wasnt much difference in feel between the RM-11 and MT28 V5, and I think the RM-12 is a combination of the RM-11 head shape with tour grinds from the MT28 V5 T.S.

I think Rockbottomgolf.com still have some MT28 V5 T.S. for $99 in limited lofts/bounce options.

I have the RM-11 and they are outstanding.. I doubt the 12's will improve on much. I like the lower bounce on the lob and it looks like the 60 12s has more bounce then the 11's

I play with a 52 and a 58 degree RM11 and played the V5s before that. Love them to death!

Are they that expensive in the US? The RM11s can be gotten for ~$100 new in Japan now, so I am sure you can get a deal somewhere. Maybe a Rakuten seller?
