Why am i pull hooking?

A pull is caused by having your hips shutdown or becoming "lazy" with your hips on the down swing, and therefore having your shoulders take over the swing. The hook comes from having a really closed face at impact, relative to your swing path. I assume that this pull hook also happens with your driver as the form of a duck hook? This is my usual miss with all of the clubs, and I hate it it! Try to have your hips start the downswing and continue turning through impact, and have your hands stay less active as well. Also, missing the ball towards the toe will also increase the hook spin on the ball.

I pulled, hooked and pull-hooked a lot of my shots for 2 years and was completely lost during that time. I couldn't hit my driver at all, all my long clubs were almost impossible to hit and I used my 5 iron from the tee....even on par 5's. The problem is now fixed and the fix was simple for me. My right hand was too much under the grip and if I concentrate on getting it more over (weaker?) the grip, I hit the ball dead straight. It's hard to see your grip properly on the video but when I was hooking I had the thumb of my right hand straight down the middle of the grip (logo). I hope you understand what I'm talking about. I wouldn't call that swing a pull. If anything your takeaway is to the inside. You have good form but imo your timing is off at the bottom. That is to say your hands are rolling a bit quick putting the club face in a closed position at impact.

During your downswing turn your shoulders and hips more around and to the left. Swing your arms more to the left toward out-to-in.
