Been a huge KBS Tour fan for 3 years, but WOW what a combo these irons are with the C-Tapers. Feel/launch/control for me is way better and certainly picked up a few yards over the KBS Tours. Guys having problems with losing distance should also have the lofts checked on the RBldz Tours----I've seen a few sets that were weak by as much as 1.5* and 1 set that only had 1* difference between the 7 and 8 iron !!! Been my experience that unlike the R9,/R11's, Rocketballz-----these RocketBladez will bend !!! Thanks TM for that !!!!

I was hitting Adams CMBs. Went back to them. Did hit them side by side under the same conditions. Just try before you buy if possible. Maybe they will be fine for you like they are for many others on here.

Both 8 irons are 38 degrees, both 9 irons are 42. My cmb wedge is 46, and the tm is 47. Doesn't explain the loss of distance. My Adams do have PX6.0s, and my Taylor's had the KBC tours.

These irons aren't any shorter if the lofts are correct and they're paired up with the correct shaft. I think everyone should have the lofts and lies checked and then they should get fitted for the correct shaft.

Naturally the CMB's are going to be longer because the C-Taper shaft is stellar for the people it fits (myself included). I hit my old Razr X Forged/C-Taper 6 iron (31*) longer than the RocketBladez Tour/KBS Tour 6 iron (29.5*). Since I put the C-Tapers into the RocketBladez Tours, I'm now slightly longer with the RocketBladez Tours.

I agree....
I have Ctapers in mine and what a combo....
I know I could floor them and get more out of them, but thats not my style....
Night and day performance difference with the Ctaper to KBS tour

For those of you that lost distance, have any of you bothered to physically check the lofts on what you had previously, and what your RBladez Tour's are spec'd out at? Not just clipping and pasting the specs from the website.

I only say this because it's not uncommon for them to be off from the factory.

What are you noticing improved with the CTapers? Feel? Distance? Gapping? Height? Softer landing? Curious. Thinking of getting fit for a set (coming from R11s now with the stock graphite), and want to check out my options.

Great statement here. Lofts for most OEM clubs (woods and irons) are not 100% accurate. I have seen firsthand 9* drivers actually be 11*-14*. Iron lofts and weight of heads can vary quite a bit as well throwing off swing weight and distances.

The feel is probably better with the tours. That's where the positives stopped for me. With the C-Tapers I get a stronger, more penetrating ball flight. The distance is greater and I can still hold greens no problem, even with the long irons. Coming from graphite, the C-Tapers are going to be a drastic change. You should definitely weigh your options and demo all you can before making a final decision.

I revise my distance loss. It was the swing. I took them outside today (first day our range was open) and the more I hit them the more I like them. Distance is longer in the 5i by 10 yds. I hit it about 195 vs 185 for the x16. The swing was more controlled as well. I went after one and managed to squeeze another 5 yds out if needed. As I move down the set the distance gains get smaller, but i am gaining 5 yds in the pw with a more controlled swing.
