I have heard good and bad a about this putter. Currently own a studio style newport 2 and find it pretty light. Im a big guy 6'2, so the fact that a 33 inch scotty will give me 350g doesnt work. I heard the finish wears off on the callie, but all i care about is making putts with it. Would you give it a shot?

The Yes! Callie-f is a really good putter. It feels heavier than advertised to me, it looks good and it puts a good roll on the ball.

Downside is that for the price there are more exclusive putters out there - if that is important to you - and the finish is on the fragile side...

I use the non-forged Callie and love it.

Roll both and see which one you like better.

I picked up a Callie-f a month ago. It's freezing here so I haven't put in play outside yet. On the indoor greens this thing feels really good. As stated above it feels really heavy. I don't know but I would guess the shaft is heavier than most. It still maintains a really solid head feel. Puts a great roll on the ball and is very easy to keep online throughout the stroke. I have played Scotty and Betti over the past years and this is right up there with them. It does feel very soft, but very solid. I am pretty sure this will be my gamer next year. I just need to find some real grass to play on. The finish is a bit "delicate". I have a few scratches on the bottom and the same gold color that's on the face is coming through. I have wondered what it would look like with the black finish stripped...hmmmm.

i got one abt 3 weeks ago and noticed that the sightline in not at the sweetspot...the one thing i dont like abt this putter. had the original callie and loved the roll but it felt dead, so i ditched it.

the callie forged is better feeling but a bit heavy for me, and the sight line is outside the middle of the "C"

finish very poor in my opinion...so what i might do is strip the finish, fill in the wrongly placed sightline, figure a way to etch a new sight line...(any ideas would be great), respray or powder coat but leaving the "C" as it is

And see if there is a way for me to remove some weight...(any ideas here would be great too)
