Pm me. I may be ready to pull the trigger. I hear the 435 is long but feels terrible. But Those reviews also state that the ball is always much farther down the fairway than expected.

you may have read one of my reviews. i hated everything about the 435 when i first tried it. the shape, overall look, the way it set up at address, everything. then i hit it and to me it sounded and felt just like i thought it looked...horrible. when i first hit it i was just trying to make contact and get a feel for it...but even then it was longer than it should have been. when i realized this was a driver that begs for you to go after it, the sound and feel became impressive. and the distance...well the distance was as long as my non-conforming driver. the only driver more forgiving is they ryoma...actually maybe not more forgiving but more accurate. the ryoma is point and shoot but the 435 is plenty forgiving!

I have heard the jbeam is long, but what do you guys consider long? Just honestly asking. I am "window shopping" for a new stick and of course would love more distance, with accuracy of course. Is this more for slower swing players that need some pop, or can it handle faster SS as well? Thanks!

obviously, long is relative to the individual player but the 435 is consistently longer than anything else i've played and consistently averaging 300yds for my swing (yes, i know i'll get flamed by the wrx police for saying that). there is no magic driver or one driver that works for everyone but this is easily one of the best i've tried. i was just talking to a friend that said one of his customers with a ss of 85mph is having success with the 435. however imho, i honestly don't think slower swingers will typically see it's full potential. the 435 really seems to come alive the more you go after it so the higher the ss the better.

after 2 long range sessions I can say this for sure. This is the longest driver that I have ever owned from about 130 range balls hit. The carry distance is about the same as the launch lab but the roll out is huge on the range. Just keeps rolling. It will be my gamer this weekend. I know my course well so the results will be accurate for me. The launch lab and razr hawk tour would be a solid second in terms of distance. my trouble with those 2 are the open faces. when i am on it is no trouble but off days had me way right hoping for a bogey.

Thanks for the info, may have to give it a try. Lol, can't believe you haven't been flamed yet...that's why I kept my mouth shut and didn't say anything like "I am averaging x yards.." But I do have a decent SS, not golfwrx fantasy fast, but fast for a real world average golfer

i guess we can get away with talking numbers here since few people frequent the jdm section. my local course may be a bit unfair since it's fairways are wide and hard but it is what it is. the 435 still averages 280-290 on less accepting fairways and there aren't many people that out drive this driver! our other local course used to let the bermuda go dormant in the winter and waking away after a round averaging 320 wasn't uncommon when you get 40yds of added roll! :-o

there have been many great releases since the 435...but nothing seems to be able to dethrone it as the overal distance king (including some hi-cor models). it will be fun seeing what the new ryoma can do!

Is the J. Beam 435 the same as the Crazy 435 II ?

no, but it is the same as the original crazy 435. neither the "II" or the "r" versions seem to have improved upon the distance of the original 435.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
