In an effort to curb what is potentially a confusing situation, I started this thread. I was informed by Gxgolfer that he unilaterally decided to merge my current account "topekareal" with a former account "Jamboy72" - While I don't know why this decision is the best option, it's what the mods have decided to do and so be it.

 

Unfortunately, the previous and now current account was compromised on several occasions and multiple people had access to the account. Clearly, the result was a lot of miscommunication and frustration on all parts. For anything that happened prior to February of 2008, I'm not sure that is at all relevant. However, since that time I've done my best to be a contributing member of the site and like many of you, have put my money where my mouth is. I'm very comfortable letting my record, feedback, etc. speak for itself.

 

Gx also informed me that there were members who had contacted him who were suspicious of some recent activities, however, there wasn't anything specific. I have never understood vague and thinly veiled methods of communication as this lack of clarity is generally not productive for anyone involved. You may not like or appreciate my perspective on every issue, but at the very least I'm going to clearly state my position.

 

I guess all I ask is that if anyone has any questions or concerns or whatever, that people would have the decency and integrity to contact me directly. I'm more than happy to give you my phone number if there is anything which needs to be cleared up, feel free to send me a PM.

 

It seems to me that this site is dedicated to the concept that members, though we all exist in relative anonymity, are fundamentally important to the site. As such, it seems incumbent upon us as members to treat one another with honesty and respect. I made a poor decision several presidential administrations ago to allow several people to use one account. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to go back and right any of those wrongs. In an effort to start with a clean slate, I registered a new/different account and now 5+ years later those accounts are being merged. Again, my only request is that if you have concerns, please have enough integrity to contact me directly.
